Got Some Toys For Christmas

I got toys and treats for Christmas.  I chewed up some of them - the toys - pretty much already.  Daddy says that's why I usually get a tied up wad of old socks instead of toys.  Christmas is special.  I'll be back to chewing tied up socks soon....

Christmas Bath

Getting Dried Off - Get Me Outta Here!
Gosh, I thought Christmas was fun.  Getting toys and biscuits and treats.  Squeaky toys and fuzzy toys and maybe a new collar or bandana.

But then I heard daddy Frank go into the closet to get towels.  He never gets towels after dinner.  I knew somethin' was up.  And it was not good.  He didn't have to say a word, I knew what he was thinking and what he was scheming.  Then he went to the cookie jar.  I knew it! Bribes!

Then he says "Come on Benni" like he thinks I'll just follow him to my execution.

I'll play along for a Liver Snap, up to a point.  But I ain't goin' NEAR that bathroom.

Daddy begs and coaxes.  NO WAY!

Then he grabs me by my collar and starts dragging me.  I resist.  He calls Daddy Leon for reinforcements.  They corral me into the bathroom.  Dread!

But I'm NOT getting into that tub!  Christmas bath, Bah Humbug!

Well, Daddy got his way but I didn't make it easy for him.

I got showered up and dried off and rubbed down and combed out.  I guess they call it a spa treatment.  Daddies are too cheap to send me to the groomer where Bouvier goes.  Bouvier is a classy Poodle.

I get my Christmas Bath in the old bathtub.  Gosh, I HATE Christmas Bath.  How humiliating!

When You See SOMETHING, Bark SOMETHING

Daddy says my bark sounds so serious.  I look out the window and whenever there's something going on across the street I bark.  Sometimes it's just a "ruf";  Sometimes it's a "Ruff, Ruff", it depends.  Sometimes I say "GRUFF, GRUFF, GRUFF,GRUFF, GRUFF" real loud.  Daddies get upset when I talk like that when they're watching TV.  But that's my job,

Daddy says even when I know there's really nothing to Ruff about, I won't admit it.  (I won't, cuz I take my job serious and don't want to admit when I goof).

Any how, like they say on that commercial, "When you see SOMETHING, say SOMERUFF".

Life Is Doggie Park and Dinner and Snoozing

Daddies think I should have words of wisdom, whatever that is. But life is too simple to have lots to say. Sleep, Eat, Walk, Play.

I just hang out on my couch, look out the window and wait to go out. I go to doggie park almost every day or to the woods up back. We walk for a half hour or an hour. I could keep going cuz I never get tired, even though I like to snooze.

I snooze when I'm bored...  When I can't go out or when no one wants to play.

Fun Day and Pasta Night

I love the doggie park and my daddy takes me almost every day. We hike the trails through the woods then come out to the big field on the way back to the parking lot. Thats where I sometimes meet up with a bunch of my buddies. Specially on Saturdays.

Me, Prancing
My daddies had pasta tonight.  It was real cold outside so daddy Frank said "This really hits the spot."  I'm not sure 'xactly what that means, but I guessed it means that pasta tastes good, so I said, (with my gorgeous eyes) "Hey, I have a spot here that needs to get hit."

So they gave me my own dish of pasta.  Yum.  Hey, I coulda ate more than that.

It's always nice to relax on the couch after a good dinner.

Big Storm - Big Fun

I don't know what is going on but it's just a little bit chilly at home.  There are buckets of water in the bath tub and a machine in the driveway that makes noise.  I bark at it when daddy pulls the cord and makes it start.  I do that with the lawn mower too.

Daddies say we're in survival mode since the other day, when the 'lectricity went out.  What-ever.  When the machine in the driveway is going we have TV and lights.  Otherwise it is dark and cold.

I remember the white cold stuff from last year - snow, it's called, and it is fun.  I know there are some really big sticks that fell out of the trees cuz of the snow.  I can't wait to get my teeth on them.

I think it is the snow that got daddies all in a fluster.  Gosh, they been busy hauling buckets of water to the bathroom and the stove and putting food outside in the snow and doing other silly stuff.

The other day I met Denali and another buddy at the doggie park.  We ran through the snow and played.

This snow is FUN!  I don't mind the cold at all.  Just like the big furry sled dogs.  I bet I could pull a sled too.

My HoHum Wonderful Life

I ain't been doing much except going to the doggie park and hanging around with my dads going to Massachusetts and stuff.

My friend Aspen got hurt running around with me and my other friend Katja - that big black German Shepherd in the movie Dad took.

Dad Leon had a birthday party and my friend Bo came and we played all day.  Daddy Frank forgot to take pictures.

Yeah, I got a good life even if it is HoHum sometimes.

How I Spent My Summer Vacation, by Benni

I went to PTown.  I don't know why they call it PTown, cuz I pee in every town I go to.  Whiles I was here I ran into a dog and his person at the doggie park who lives next door to my sister Olive.  I told them to say hello for me.  It's a small world, ain't it?

Anyhow, here I am in PTown doing other things besides looking for Sushi on the beach.

All You Can Eat Sushi Bar

I love strolling along the beach. I find all kinds of good stuff. Daddy calls it Sushi.   I don't knowwhat exactly it is - Sushi, but when ever I munch on it, Daddies say "Drop, it, spit it out."

"Hey, no way, Jose.  I found it so it's mine.  Get your own sushi", I say.  I have to sneak over to the High Tide Sushi bar when my daddies aren't looking - when they are reading a book or snoozing.

Holy Mackerel, a Fresh One!
Daddy took pictures of my free Sushi Bar -  it had crunchy crab crusts and skate, mackerel and maybe sand sharks (hard to tell).  I really wanted to sample the seagull, but that's when daddy got really upset.

They have Sushi for people in town - but my daddies won't touch the stuff.  They like their dead fish cooked.
