One Year of My Mostly Boring and Sometimes Fun Life

Well, it's been a long time since I blogged. I've heard that New Mexico is NOT NEW and NOT MEXICO. But even though I've had some good times here, my life is mostly HO-HUM. It gets hot here and it gets cold here. Mostly I like laying out on my deck and looking over my yard and the land beyond.

Last year they took away my deck. First the railings went, then the floor!

But then they made me a new, bigger deck which is very nice.

Then in the summer, I think it was August, we went away for a long time. First we camped at a casino in Oklahoma. They have grass there. I like laying in the grass. I played ball with Daddies.

Then we drove and drove for two more days and we were in Vermont where we camped at some of Daddies' friends big yard. There was grass there too.

I remember Vermont. There are trees there. And we hiked through the woods.

Then we came to the lake where I remember we used to go. It's called The Ledges. I love swimming there.

Then we drove some more and ended up at the beach. This is Daddy Frank's favorite place. I like it too. It's called Provincetown. I love swimming in the ocean.

And lounging on the beach.

And taking the truck out onto the beach. This is Race Point but there was no race. We lounged and I swam. There are seals there but they stay in the water and look for fishies.

I started losing my fur when we were in Provincetown. Daddy said it was from anxiety. The vet gave me special shampoo. I had a bath every day when we got back from the beach.

Thanks Daddy Frank, I Love the beach too.

Then we went to Connecticut where we used to live. We saw a lot of Daddies' old friends and family. I went to see my old girlfriend Katija. She remembered me and we went for a walk and caught up.

I told her I had to leave again and go back to my new home in New Mexico. She said, "Oh well. Glad we could get together."

It was hot and muggy out east and I was getting tired of living on the road. Daddy said I was getting nervous living in the camper fo so long. We drove and drove and finally got back to home sweet home.

Before we knew it we had Halloween and Thanksgiving and grandma O'Hart and John and Buddy came to visit for Christmas. Right after that it started to snow. We had a lot of snow during the winter. It was cool and it was cold. I like the cold and the snow.

But when the snow melts, spring is nice. There were lots of flowers blooming all over the place. Daddy Frank blogged about it. In the spring we took a camping trip to Las Cruces and this place with a lot of sand and no water. It was like the beach but there was no ocean to swim in. They call it White Sand. There was a lot of white sand and it was too hot there.

We left the sand and went to Ruidoso where it was chilly. Hot one place, chilly up the road. Then we drove through the desert some more.

Then we came to a waterfall. I think they said it was a Sitting Bull, but I didn't even see a cow. Just a waterfall. Then we went to Roswell where the spaceship landed. They have a nice lake where I went for a swim.

Last week we went camping again. It was in the National Forest. It looks like Vermont but the trees are bigger. It was nice there. It was cool and breezy. It even rained some.

We also found a lake. Daddy said it was more like a pond, but they call it Lake Gregorio. I didn't care if it is a lake or a pond. I dove right in. Man, I love to swim.

The campground was near Clear Creek. Where I come from they call it a brook. Lake, pond, creek, brook. All I care about is whether the water tastes good or whether I can swim in it. Daddy thinks I look like a black bear.

I went hiking with my dads.

Back home again. My friend Gilbert is visiting because his Daddies are on vacation. We have dinner together. Daddy Leon calls Gilbert "Mini Me"

I went swimming today in our lake and Mini Me was just wading in the water.

I'll just end with my mug shot. Ain't I handsome?
