At grandma's I got to play with Buddy and we went hiking with Avalanche at a waterfall park in South Carolina. But there were no trails where we could run leash-free.
I like trips, but traveling really tires me out. Especially running around that yard with Buddy and having to see kittycats prancing around and looking at me funny, like I was some kinda unwelcome guest. There was also a lot of waiting around to do something fun. More waiting than fun.
So I pretty much slept all the way home. Except when Daddy reached into the cheesy crackers, then I was on alert. Never know when he was going to throw a cracker in the back seat. Gotta be ready. And of course the rest stops when I got to pee. Some rest stops had nice big play areas and sticks too, but mostly they had just a tiny strip of grass to walk on.
Did I tell you I got a new collar and matching leash for Christmas, but Daddy had to sew them to make them better. The collar was too long and I'm not sure what he did with the leash, but the important thing is the color compliments my golden-yellow eyes. He finished fixing it on the way home, so I got to wear it for the first time.
