Last Days of Summer

Here I am lounging a week or so ago in PTown outside of the Equality Store.

Some nice Canadian gal told me I have the look of some dog of Royalty or something.  Is that the Great Dame?  Anyhow I guess that means she thought I was Special.  Which I am.  Daddy's shoe is comfy.

Here I am lounging in front of my camper on my last day in PTown.  I'm going to miss the doggie park.

Back home - a nice walk in my woods.  Leaves are falling.  They call it "Fall".  Oh, the other day I went to the doggie park down the road.  Daddy says it is not as nice as the one in PTown but I had a ball.  I was running and wrestling in the dirt with the guys and girls.   We were all about the same age, so we really had fun.  Then when we got home Daddy said I needed a BATH!  UGH!  Well, I wasn't too keen on that idea.  After I got dried off, I decided to run away.  I got as far as across the street.  I think I was lost.  Daddy came and got me.  Well, I hope he learned his lesson.
When we were in PTown Daddy Leon said I was pulling on my leash too hard.  So Daddies got me a harness, but I pulled even harder, especially when we got to the doggie park.  So Daddies got me a "Gentle Leader" so I can't pull.  Well, it took a little getting used to, but I got the hang of it.  Makes it really hard to resist pulling when I see those squirrels hoping around though.
"Gentle Leader" my foot - my Daddies are just a couple of control freaks.  They kept saying how they just love this contraption.  Like "A product that actually works as advertised."
It looks funny but it doesn't hurt.  Thank Dog I don't have to wear it all the time.
People tell me I look more like a Great Dame than a Wiemermermermrer whatever.  But I'm no Dame.  Maybe my sister Lucy is a Dame.  She looks like me.  Hey, Lucy!  Do people tell you that you look like a Great Dame?  I practice getting in touch with my inner Lab.  My Daddies like when I do that.  But I'm still not too keen on swimming.  Or BATHS!

hahaha. Very amusing post, though that harness thing looks like a torture rig out of the middle ages. But if Bennie says it's okay, I guess it must be.
