A Field of Fall Flowers

I love going hiking every day.  Except when it's raining too much, then Daddy says it's just too lousy to go for a hike.  Last week there were these flowers all through the field.  I always look goos in a field of flowers.

Or next to a bush with bright red leaves.
Too bad Katja wasn't there that day.  If she was, I wouldn't be sitting still all pretty and handsome.  She and I would be chasing and running and Daddy would never be able to take a picture.

I Ride The Wild Waves

Well, here we are again.  On Vacation in PTown.  I like it here.  There are doggie parks and when we walk in town there are all kinds of doggies and there are water bowls everwhere.  People come over and tell me how handsome I am.  One guy spotted me from across the street, come right up  to me and scotched down to pet me and told me that I am such a great dog.  He didn't even talk to daddy.  Not even a "Hi."  He just wanted to talk to me.

Daddy said I am getting a big head.  I think my head is just the right size.

Daddies thought I was a wimp because I was afraid of the waves.  Until now.  I decided it was time to venture out over the waves to fetch stick, now that I am a big fella and more grown up.  I can handle it. And I just love to fetch stick at the beach.

We are at Herring Cove Beach in PTown and the waves the other day were coming in good.  The water was not cold and gave me a nice cool-off from the sun.

Just look at me go.

The other day we all went for a hike through the dunes.  It was like being in a desert or at least that's what daddy said, cuz I never been to a desert.  Boy it was hot out there and I liked it when we found trees.

Or at least a little shade along the trails.

Ah, some shade by the shack.  No one was home.

The trail ended by the ocean.  Now this part of the ocean was colder and had bigger waves too.

Dog Days

Summer is such a good time.  We go to Vermont almost every other weekend and I get to go to the big Lake or the Rock River with my dads.  I love swimming.  Dads thought I would never swim cuz when I was a pup I was a little bit afraid of the water.  I didn't know dogs could float and swim.  I just splashed a little.  Dads made me go into the water and I learned to swim.  Now I could win one of those gold medals if it was swimming to fetch a stick

It's nice in the shade
The other day we went to Mohawk Pond with Dottie, Katja and Kohlya.  We had fun.  But it was a little pond and Dad Frank didn't like it cuz there was no beach for him to sit on.

I can't wait to see where we go next!

Hide And Seek At Buttermilk Falls

Daddy says I don't stay still long enough to take a good picture.  So true.  There is so much running and sniffing to do, I can't just pose.

Today we went to Buttermilk Falls and I played hide from Daddy's camera, just for fun.

Can you find me in these photos?  Daddy says you can click to make them bigger.

Dog And Field

I was out in the field today.  There were lots of pretty flowers the color of my eyes.

Daddy said I should be on the cover of Dog and Field Magazine or Dog and Flower Monthly.

I don't know what that is - Daddy makes things up sometimes - but I don't think they'll like the picture of me with my tongue hanging out.

But cheesh, it was hot out there today.

Wild Blueberries and Other Stuff

Daddy found wild blueberries

I looked, but didn't find many.

Besides, they're too hard to pick.  I like blackberries better.

Yesterday at the beach at Herring Cove by Hatches Harbor

Daddy says this came from Japan.  Then he said he was joking.  But I didn't get the joke.

Here is the Blue Carpet to the beach at Race Point.  How do they keep the sand off?

Sunset was behind the clouds

Today at Herring Cove by Boys Beach.  I was exhausted after that walk and swimming after sticks.

Daddy's beer and crackers and cheese when we got back.

Now we have to go for dinner.... I already ate, so just Daddy will have dinner...
