Enjoying Being at Home

Well, we're back home and I'm kind of glad. Dad Frank did take me to the beach at Bluff Point last Thursday and the hike in and out really pooped me out.

Dad Frank says I'm being a surprisingly good boy lately. I have been listening and coming when called and even pooping in the woods.

But, they've got to feed me on time. The other day lunch was late so I took matters into my own hands
mouth.
Don't you just love what I've done with the cushions from the deck furniture?

Longest 8 Weeks of My Life

Man, this has been the longest eight weeks of my life since I got adopted.  I've been to Provincetown, the Beach, Vermont, the Lake, Connecticut Shore, Hiking, New Hampshire, Camping, and now, to where I was born in the Carolinas.  What a trip!  I got to stay in a motel.  Hum, do they have doggie treats on room service?  I also got to stat at grandma's and played a lot with Buddy the dog that lives at grandma's house.
Saturday I even got to go White Water Rafting and had to wear my own life-jacket.  This was me before the river trip.
It was scary and I'm not sure if I had a good time.  We floated eight miles down the river and I held on tight.  Too bad daddies didn't bring their camera because the ride was too wet to take the camera.  So we don't have any pics...except you can see pics that the river people took here: White Water River Raft Trip 1
and click on pics number 457, 458 and 459.
I am between my daddies.  The other people are Leon dad's sister and nephew.
This was me after the trip down river. At the end, I got off the boat and kissed sniffed the ground.   Boy was I glad to get back without getting tossed overboard.

I guess I've been a good boy cuz I have been pretty good in the car and sleeping without waking up daddies during the night.  But I had a couple of pee-pee accidents cuz I got too excited with all the new things I seen and new doggies I got to meet and new places I had to sleep in and forgot to tell dads I needed to go out right away.  Geez, I don't know why I let go when I got excited and I know my daddies get upset.  I guess I just wasn't thinking.

Blackberries

I went picking blackberries this morning. I ate all the ones I picked, but daddy didn't.  A couple fell out of the bowl.
Fair game.  These things roll don't they.  But, have tongue, will get berry.

There, got it.

My deck is getting crowded.

Oh, by the way, I cleared the bed in a single bound this morning.  I think daddies are worried.  Here's me running around the backyard.  Yeah, I know my name.

I'm almost all growed up I think

Daddy says I don't take good pictures.  But I think he doesn't take good pictures.  Yeah, I'm always on the go or squirming around, but hey, it's up to the photographer to capture the moment.

This is a lovely place to lounge in the late afternoon or after dinner.

I'm content for the most part.  Still learning the crazy rules around here.  "Don't pick that up", "Spit that out", "Drop it", "Sit", "Give me your paw" (yeah, like I have an extra one), "Get in the car", "Get out of the car", "Go to bed", "Play with your toy".  I haven't heard much bad talk lately, so I guess we're all getting used to each others quirks.  And my dads have some quirky quirks to be sure.

I pretty much know how the pee-pee and poopy routine works.  I walk back and forth, they open the door, I go out and do my thing, then I wait a few minutes and the door opens and I go in.  They keep saying "Go in the woods, go in the woods".  If they want me to go in the woods they best tell me which ones.  There are a lot of woods here.  Yeah, I'm just bustin' cuz I'm a bit lazy.

Forse of July

I got to go camping with my dads and had a lot of fun.  We went camping in a big house that we took with us from our other house.  They call it an AR-VEE or a Fifth Wheel.  I had my own bedroom with a sliding door.  In the morning I would go outside, then come in and get to sleep on the bed for a while with my dads.

I was being such a good boy and got to run free a lot. Being on the leash was a little hassle as I would get tangled up around chairs and stuff.

I met a whole bunch of new friends including Shadow, Shepherd and Clyde, a Labadoodle.  We went hiking and played tag.  I saw horseys up close and I'll tell you they are some big doggies.  But they don't act like doggies, so they call them horses.  This is Clyde:

Silly dad, did not take a picture of Shadow or me playing with them.  There were lots of other doggies there too.

Swimming at the lake was not as good as the beach, so when Daddy Frank finally got me in the water, I swam back and got out fast.  I liked lounging much better than swimming.

All the people guys thought I was cute still, and everyone likes my funky ears.  Lounging back home.
It was a nice weekend till we got home and I got yelled at for going across the street.  Cheeze, I was just looking for Clyde.
